New Golf Clubs

I worked on Monday so today I had a free day. So we rode the golfcart over to WalMart and on the way there they have a new golf store. So of course, we had to stop. I was looking for a new driver since I drove over my old one and ruined it. To make a long story short we both got new sets of golf clubs. We have always had really old ones, garage sale ones, just to get by. So now we each have a full set, all matching.
We golfed today with Bill and Eva at El Santiago. The new golf clubs worked great. I got my first ever par. After golfing we went to Denny's and had a bite. We had coupons from the Ohio Club. The food was so-so, service was bad....
Please excuse my last blog. I just re-read it and it has several errors. That's what happens when you hurry.
It was drop dead gorgeous out today, just right for golfing, not too hot, not too cold. It is truly beautiful here in the Villages.

Sunday In The Villages

I worked today and we were super busy. It made the day go by really fast.
when I got home we kind of vegged out, thought we would go to the pool but I didn't have the engery to get undressed.
Dave, our neighbor just got back from Pennsylvania. He got sick up there and was put in the hospital so that is why they were gone so long. He has congestive heart failure.
In the evening we went to our bowling meeting. We went to the bowling alley and there was no one there from our group so I remembered we should have went to the Hacienda Rec Hall. Oh well, we made it in time.
We start bowling next Sunday night. The team is sponsored by the Michigan Club and everyone who bowls in from Michigan.
Then we went to Ollie's Ice Cream and had banana splits, very good. We met some new people from Michigan and had a lot of laughs.

Spectacular Friday & Saturday

On Friday I worked, we were pretty busy, lots of snowbirds coming down now. In the evening we went to Bill and Eva's and had a real nice dinner of all of her leftovers and we brought ours and we had a real feast. We sat and talked. He has a "Man Cave" in his garage so the guys sat out there and drank their beer, we sat on the screened in porch. She is from Germany and sometimes I think Aunt Susie is in the same room with us.
Today it was simply gorgeous out, 80 degrees, sunny with a slight breeze. Of course, I woke up feeling a little dizzy. But we went golfing with the neighborhood gang anyways. I didn't hit them very long today but I did make a beautiful birdie putt. It even surprised me!!!
Tonight we just sat home and watched TV. We need some down time....tomorrow is another day...

Christmas Eve and Christmas Day

On Christmas Eve day we cleaned up the house then went golfing and when we got home we went to the pool and hot tub. In the evening we watched a very good old called "The First of May" with Mickey Rooney. It is a real tear jerker.
On Christmas Day Eva and Bill met us at Orange Blossom Country Club and we tried to play golf but by the third hole it started to rain. Wouldn't you know it, so we went to our house for our Christmas dinner and then the sun came out. So we ate and then went golfing at Silver Lake golf course. We had a real nice time, played best ball and didn't finish until it was dark out. Came back to our house, had our pumpkin pie and now I am trying to scan some pictures on Bud's printer and it is not working out. What we don't know about computers would fill a book!!!I have a great pic of Dakota I was going to put on this blog, but I guess that isn't going to happen tonight.
Got to work tomorrow and then we are going to Bill and Eva's for dinner. We had a real nice couple of days but I sure miss my family. Dakota calls me but I just want to be there and give the grandkids some Grandma hugs.

Monday & Tuesday

On Monday I worked all day. When I got home I can't remember what we did.!!!! Isn't that awful, I am racking my brain and I just can't remember.
Today I had to go to the Wal-Mart and fight the traffic. These people can't drive when the sun is shining I sure would hate to see how they would drive in snow and ice. It boggles the mind.
Oh, yeah I remember what we did last night. We attended the Ohio Buckeye Club, Of course we had a great potluck supper and some nice entertainment. I won a bottle of flavored syrup you put in coffee from Starbuck's. Just what I wanted...I wish I would have won the money.
Tonight our good friends, Joanne and Leo from our camping club came over and we went to the Church on the Square and saw a female singer and she was fantastic. Then we went to our favorite rib joint, Oakwood Grill. Mighty good eating..Then we took them to see some of the Christmas lights.
We will be seeing lots of them because they are camping in their motorhome at his sister's in the next town.
We got bad news that Rob's Jennifer lost her dear sweet grandfather yesterday. He will be shown today and buried tomorrow. He was 91 one years old and was crazy about Jennifer and Dakota.
It's late so I will turn in for the day. Tomorrow it is suppose to be in the 80's again. Oh happy day...

Party, Party, Party

Our neighbors had a party for everyone that golfs on Tangerine Drive. Oh,my when he sent the invitaions and it said an cocktail party with just appitizers, I should have know not to eat dinner. They had everything. We had scrimp, filled creme puffs with crab salad and tuna salad. roastbeef and ham, relish tray, crackers and cheese, hot wings, mild wings, salsa, cheese dips, fancy deviled eggs, candy and an open bar. We had beer, wine and pina coladas. The house is decorated to the hilt. On the way out everyone got a gift basket, exquisitely wrapped that is about two foot high. We didn't open ours yet, guess we'll wait until Christmas. They sure know how to throw a party.
Well, I worked today so right know I am falling asleep writing this....It was about 80 degrees here again today..

Golfing Saturday

Saturday started off kind of cool but we played golf (El Diablo) on our neighborhood leauge. By the time we got to the second hole, off came the coat. It was a beautiful day for golf.
On the way there we had kind of an accident, my golf bag fell off the golf cart, Bud backed up to get it, backed up too far and ran over it, so I reached over and stepped on the gas to get off of it, and I didn't realize it was still in reverse and backed up over the entire bad and put a hole in the bag and ruined by new driver. We were like the keystone cops, what a sight we were. Oh, well at least I didn't run over Bud.
We played quite well but didn't win the prize money. For lunch we all went to El Santiago Country Club. It looks like a Jimmy Buffet Key West place.
Well, it is off to bed, work tomorrow....

Thursday & Friday-Outstanding Weather

On Thursday I made out some Christmas cards (it is had to do when it is 80 degrees outside) and in the afternoon we played shuffleboard on our league. We only won ten games out of 24 because we had to forfeit six games because of people not showing up. That is very inconsiderate. We could have gotten subs if we had known. Both Bud and I won two games each.
Today I worked and got quite a few presents from my customers, money, cookies, candy, and movie tickets including popcorn and a drink. I was just like a little kid. In the afternoon we went to the Rolling Acres Golfing Range with Bill and Eva and hit a bucket of balls. We are trying to get in some practice before Saturday. I went and got my nails done while Bud made supper. We have had a full day....

Just The Two Of Us

It was a beautiful day in The Villages today. We spent a little while down at Pam's house doing some last minute cleaning that they didn't get done. After doing a few things around here we headed for the pool. We met a real nice couple from Pennsylvania. She is Italian and he is Irish and they just moved here a few months ago. She bought her house sight unseen on the Internet. Oh happy day!! But it is a nice house and we had a real nice time chatting at the pool. In fact we stayed so long I was starting to prune up.
Then we came home, changed clothes and went an played nine holes of golf at Hilltop Golf Course. It was just right out and we were the last ones on the course so we didn't have to hurry. We didn't do to bad but we need more practice. We start playing on the neighborhood league on Saturday at El Diablo.
We cooked steaks on the grill and they were fantastic. They tasted better than some steakhouses we have went to.
It is going to be in the 80's again tomorrow. Can't wait......

What a Busy Two Weeks We Have Had

I haven't written because I just couldn't fit it in. I tried on the last post and for some strange reason, I tried to continue and it wouldn't let me so I was tired and just gave up. Now I can't remember all the fun things we did. But I learned one thing, I can't work all day and then go play golf. Way too much for me. We sure had a great time when Pam and Dave were here and it would have even been better if we hadn't had the worst weather we have had in four years. Pam and Dave were satisfied though, much better than Toledo. Pam would have done a lot more fun things if she didn't have that boot on her foot. But we were gone from morning to night. My wonderful friends just included them in everything and they had a blast. Dave said he had to go home and rest. They left yesterday at 5 a.m. and then I went to work. In the evening we had our shuffleboard Christmas party. This morning I had my digital scrapbooking club meeting and they asked me to be in a commercial for the Villages. We had to take about ten takes before we got it right. Now I know what movie stars go through. Ha Ha. I am anxious to see it. It should be running on the Villages TV station in January. Then we went to do some errands, went to the grocery store and now I am resting. I am not going to do one thing. Tomorrow is another day....

Dancing Fools

On Monday I worked and I thought I might get off early but no such luck. I was stuck there until the very end.
In the evening we had tickets to go to Katie Belle's again to see the Donna Moore and Dunning Shaw show. Eight of us went and it was a real hoot. Everyone was dancing, even Bud. We were entertained to the max and then when it was over we went outside to the square and danced some more. Rocky and the Rollers were there and they play all the wonderful old Rock and Rock songs we grew up with. Dave and Rod were feeling no pain and they were even dancing with strangers. I laughed so much my face hurt. It was an evening to remember that is for sure.
Today Pam and I went to the pool for a few hours and tonight we went to Sumpter Landing to do a few line dances. Then we shopped a little, and then Rod took us to see all the Christmas lights. So again I am tired and ready to call it a night.

A Wirldwind of Activity

It has been a wonderful week here in The Villages. With Pam and Dave here we hit the floor running and have not stopped. The weather however could be a lot better. It is the coldest it has been here in years. That figures, you have out of town guests and the weather just does not cooperate. But it sure beats Ohio and Michigan weather.
We have done so many things, I can't even remember all of them.
Our good motorhome friends Don and Twyla came to stay a few days. They will leave on Sunday
We went out for dinner at ToJays, a New York style deli, wonderful food. Then we went to see "Australia". I think it will probably be voted best picture of the year. A must see...
Seven of us girls went to Clermont to a HSN warehouse to do some shopping. We filled up that SUV to the max. We almost had to bungee cord Pam to the roof. The guys went to a Don Garland car show while we shopped.
We went to the pool and met a charming Italian man in his nineties who made us really laugh.
Ten of us went to the new Havana Country Club and had a great dinner outside on the veranda. Really a classy place, good food, etc. A real winner.
Today I worked, I had to go to work to rest. Tonight we went to Katie Belle's and saw the comedy show starring the Villages Godfather. He puts on quite an act. We all enjoyed it tremendously.
It is now almost eleven o'clock and I need to go to bed. Don't know if I will last another week.

My Sister Is Here

I haven't had time to blog because my sister is here. Oh my gosh, we have been running like we are crazy. Of course, we have to go shopping, dancing, to shows, eating out, having company, etc. It is so great to have her so close.
I took off for the entire week from work and I hit the floor running.
My friend Jane had us all over to her house for dinner last night and we had so much fun, she has a hot tub in her house so of course we had to get in. It was wonderful.
We went to digital scrapbooking class and learned some new things. We had the gang over for soup on Sunday night and then we went to the entertainment on the square. On Monday I worked, went to dinner, went to the tree lighting and then Pam used Bud's ticket for our concert series. We saw Lorenzo Lamas and he is just beautiful. Sings good but looks better. By the time that day was over I was tired....
Today all the girls went to Katie Bells to line dance and have lunch. Tonight our friends from Michigan arrived for a few days and we all went to the mexican restaraunt "El Ranchero". Now I am going to finish this and go to bed.

Thanksgiving

We have been very busy getting ready for my sister and Dave to arrive. We opened up their house and aired it out, etc. On Wednesday we went golfing with Rod and Pam, had a great time, but my golfing skills need some work. In the evening we went to the Church on the Square for their entertainment. A villager sang the songs of Kenny Rogers and Neil Diamond. He was pretty good. The church was full, it holds 800 people and we were all singing Lucille and Sweet Caroline.
On Thursday we went to Marguerite and Ray's house with Pam and Rod had a truly enjoyable day. The hostess was great, the food was wonderful and then we played a rousing game of Mexican Train. Just a really fun day. I am so thankful that we have such nice friends here in the villages. They are our family away from home. I missed my kids, but talked to all of them.
On Friday I worked, very busy. IHOP just opened down the street and I really thought we wouldn't be so busy but we were.
When I got home I called Pam and they were already in Georgia. Dave drives way too fast for me. They got her about 11:15 p.m. and we helped them unload the visited for a while.
They came down and had breakfast and then had some errands to do. We went golfing again with Pam and Rod and golfed a little better today. Then we all met at Pam's and sat around and laughed the day away. Tonight we went to Margueritaville (Pam's favorite place)for dinner and then to the square to dance and people watch.
Then we went back to Margueritaville for more drinks. Their friends from Toledo were there (they always are) and so we just left them to find their own way home on the golfcart. We might never see them again.....Pam is thoughly enjoying herself.
Well, tomorrow I have to work. Oh happy day....

Too Busy To Write

It has been a busy few days. On Thursday I went grocery shopping then we went to our shuffleboard league. Bud has finally started back, his knee is feeling pretty good. He won one game and so did I. Our team took 15 out of 24 games which is pretty good.
We don't play next week because of Thanksgiving.
Friday I worked, started off kind of slow and then boom, it exploded. When I got home I played around making some cookies until it was time to go to the Michigan Club's annual night golf game. You play in the dark with a lighted ball and lighted tee. It was really fun, no one can see how bad you hit. Bud was lucky and won $15. But the wind was blowing when we first got there and it was kind of cool for our tailgate party. After we started golfing the wind died down and it wasn't too bad. It was different and fun and we would definely do it again.
Today we went the Ohio Buckey club's Ohio-Michigan game at the Churchill Rec Center. Everyone brought food and drinks and we rooted for our teams. We sort of really wanted Michigan to win but we knew they didn't have much of a chance. Oh well, there is always next year. A good time was had by all who attended.
Now we are resting, tomorrow is a work day.....

Baby, It's Cold Outside

Wrap up your tender plants and get out your winter gear, it is pretty cold here for tonight and tomorrow.
This morning we took the golf cart and went and took Christmas pictures with the Mancos. We had our Santa hats on and all the golf carts that went by stopped and said Merry Christmas. They probably thought we were crazy. We found a perfect spot and we wanted to get it done. The golf cart ride was a little breezy.
Tonight we went to the Ohio Club. We had a great potluck, our table was called first. Hooray! One of Pam & Dave's friends is here now so he called and asked us to save him a seat. Our circle of friends just keeps on growing. Both Pam A and I won $10 on the raffle. I also won $20 dollars last night at the Michigan Club. That's better than working. The entertainment was pretty good also. This club is very active, next week we have the entire OutBack Restaraunt for the evening, we are also having a Vodka Tasting evening. The President really does a fine job.
I stopped at Katie Belle's and got tickets for concerts for when Pam and Dave get here. I am quickly filling up their social calendar.
Guess I will go and watch a little TV.

The Cold Front is Coming

On Monday I worked and it was a little cool outside but the sun was shining all day. After I got home I was too tired to do much and I fell asleep early. Then when I went to bed, I couldn't sleep. The bad news about the auto industry doesn't help either. I guess there is not much I can do about it.
Today the sun is still shining but it only got up to about 70 degrees today. It is suppose to get down to the 30's tonight with a high of 70 tomorrow.
I went to digital scrapbooking club this morning. Every time you go you learn a little bit more. Then Marguerite and I went to our Red Hat club get-together. We went to an old house in Leesburg that has been turned into a cafe called "The Melon Blossom Cafe". It was real cute and all the food was home-made. The service was extremely slow but we were not in any hurry. Lunch lasted from noon until 2:30.
Tonight we attended our monthly Michigan Club meeting. They had sign ups for cruises, night golf, and casino night. The entertainment was excellent. It was a duo called "Songs R Us" and boy they could really sing.
So I have had a full day and I am going to bed.

Great Party at the Armsteads

I started Saturday by going to water aerobics. The pool water was just fantastic. It was a little cloudy when I first got there but all of a sudden the warm sun came out and we just didn't want to leave that pool.
It the afternoon Bud and I went and did a bit of Christmas shopping while they still had what we wanted. It the evening Pam and Rod had everyone over for dinner and games. Pam brought Bob Evans beer brats back from Ohio (we can't get them here) and they were oh so tasty. Then the eight of us played "Screw Your Neighbor". We had a blast. I am surprised you didn't hear us laughing all the way up north. It was a great time with great friends. Since we don't have any family here they are all like an extended family.
Today I worked. I really don't know if the people down here ever eat at home, they were just running in to eat. And so many big parties. When I got home I could hardly move.
Tonight we kind of just vegged out and watched "Extreme Makeover" from Toledo. It was a real tear jerker. I wished I could help some deserving people like that. We went and saw that house when we were home. It looked a lot bigger on TV but it was very nice. It is amazing how they got that big house on a very small city lot but it fits in quite well with the neighborhood.

Busy Thursday and Friday

I started off Thursday morning with my water aerobics class. Jane has decided to join us too. Then I ran home, changed my clothes and went to shuffleboard. I played two games and won one. Our entire team took 16 out of 24 points. Then the entire team came to our house for the potluck and then we played Left, Right, Center. We really had a nice time getting to know these people better. When everyone left, I sat down in my chair and collapsed.
Friday, I worked, very busy. Took a little siesta when I got home, then went to the new Publix store for groceries. It is a very large store and they feed you in every aisle but the prices in the grocery stores are unbelievable. I only needed a few things and it was $62.00. The only thing that has come down is gas. I got gas for $1.99 a gallon. Sure didn't think I would ever see that again.
After dinner we went to the pool and hot tub and watched the shuttle take off. It was pretty neat to see. It was hot today, we set a record for November with 87 degrees. It is suppose to cool down for the coming week, but no snow. Ha Ha.

Wednesday, November 12, 2008

Sunshine Again Today

I spent the morning making spaghetti and meatballs for the shuffleboard team potluck tomorrow afternoon. Everyone is coming over here.
I met a friend for lunch at Katie Belle's at noon. We had a nice chat and were entertained all afternoon. Remember the Double-Mint Twins from that old TV commercial when we were kids. Well, they both live here. They must be in their late sixties now but they look good. They are the line dancing queens of the Villages. They danced every song today. I don't know what they are on but I sure could use some of it. They made me tired just watching them.
Went to the pool and hot tub this evening. We always meet such interesting people there.
Tomorrow Bud has therapy at 7 a.m. It is so wonderful to live in a place that has so many doctors and clinics just a short golf cart ride away. He can be there in five minutes from our house.

Tuesday, November 11, 2008

Tuesday with Friends

It was as they say, A Beautiful Day in the Villages, again. Went to water aerobics and then me and Bud went on the golfcart to Aldi's to pick up a few things.
Tonight Jim, Jane and Pam and Rod came over and we took the golf carts and went the back way on the dirt trail to Sonic and had a hamburger. Then they all came over here and we just sat and talked and laughed. It is so nice to be around good friends. They are all so easy going and fun.
I worked on my Christmas card tonight, Bud is sleeping in his chair, surprise, surprise. His therapy seems to be helping but he still has some pain.

Monday, November 10, 2008

Sunny Monday

Worked today, sort of busy. It hurts my feeling to be inside when it is so darn nice outside. I could have been at the pool.
We went to the bank on the golf cart when I got home to sign some papers and after dinner I have been playing on the computer trying to make my Christmas cards. I had what I thought was a good idea but it is taking longer than I thought.
Tomorrow-no work, all play. Can't wait....

Sunday, November 9, 2008

Beautiful Sunday

Got up early as they moved my schedule up on Sunday. We were busy from the get-go. I never got out of there until 3 p.m. Bud had dinner ready so we just kind of chilled out tonight.
I payed some bills and answered some emails and worked on my Christmas card for digital scrapbooking.
I got some wonderful Halloween pictures of my dear grandson Dakota. I am still waiting for Matt's pictures.
There is nothing on TV, we only have 120 channels. If I had to stay home and watch TV all day, I would shoot myself. We have just about overdosed on CSI and Law & Order. If I didn't have this computer I don't know what I would do....

Saturday, November 8, 2008

Thursday-Saturday in the Villages

Thursday I went to water aerobics and did some other things that I can't remember. Oh yeah, I went to shuffleboard and didn't win any games but our team took 15 out of of 24. On Friday, I worked. I can remember that, busy, busy. In the evening we went to the pool and hot tub. The hot tub is good for Bud's knee. On Saturday I went to water aerobics and then we went to flea market. I picked up a few things for the house. This evening we were suppose to go out to eat for our anniversary but Rod and Pam couldn't make it because they were sick but the Mancos and Dave went with us to Bone Fish, the newest seafood place here in the Villages. Upscale and very good. They were packed. Marguerite brought me the cutest chip and dip set and she made us a lovely card. Then we went to Spanish Springs and saw "The Secret of Bees." Excellent movie. Terrible title but very good.

Our Anniversary-42 Years

Today is our anniversary. We didn't do anything special today, just went shopping at the new Beal's on 466 here in the Villages. We are going out Saturday night to celebrate with friends at a new restaurant call Bone Fish. It is suppose to be excellent.
We stayed up last night and watched the election results. I sure hope Obama does everything he has promised to do. It is so scary for everyone but I worry about my boys and their families. We have been through rough times before and we made it. I remember when Jimmy Carter was in office and they were charging 18 percent to buy a house and the auto industry was in the dumpster. But we made it. I guess you could say it made us stronger.
I just made a pumpkin crumble for the shuffleboard gang tomorrow. It sure looks good. The recipe was in the paper today so I thought I would try it. They'll eat anything.
There was also a good story on Talk of the Villages today and I am going to try and include it on this blog. I think it would be a good thing to read to your children.
Perfect Picture
There was a picture tonight from Grant Park that was particularly meaningful to me. It was a picture of a little girl sitting on her Daddy's shoulders, waving a flag.
When I was about her age, an African-American family tired to move into our town. A suburb right outside of Chicago. Some people got so riled up, they physically pushed the family's furniture out of a second story window and set it on fire. My father took me to see, ignoring my mother's arguments. There was a crowd there, so he put me on his shoulders to give me a good view. I remember being afraid for those people. I remember the woman crying, And I cried.
Then my father said, "I wanted you to see this because I don't ever, EVER want you to treat another human being like this because of the color of their skin." That image was burned into my mind forever. It was a tall lesson at a very young age, but I learned it well.
When I saw that little girl on her father's shoulders tonight, smiling, looking with wonder and joy, I thought-Wow, she's in a better world that I came from. I felt such joy for her. And I felt so proud of our country tonight.. God has blessed America, but I'll ask again. May God Bless America and President Obama.

Cloudy & Cool Monday & Tuesday

Worked Monday, busy but tolerable. Pam, Marguerite & Jane went to Village Box Office to get our tickets to see Phil Dirt and the Dozers in January since I had to work. That should be an excellent concert. They originated in Pam's home town of Mansfield, Ohio. In the evening we attended our regular concert in our concert series. It was a man named Steve Lippia and he could really sing. He sang all of Frank Sinatra songs. He brought tears to my eyes when he sang "My Way". It always reminds me of my brother.
Today I did my presentation for the digital scrapbooking club. It didn't go as well as I would have liked it to. For one thing I was using a laptop and also the photoshop program was Photoshop 6 and I use Photoshop 4. There is enough difference that it wouldn't do exactly what I wanted without me playing around and I didn't have the time. But there was some interest and they really liked my pages. Went to lunch with Marguerite after the meeting. It seems like we never run out of things to talk about.
Tonight I made homemade macaroni and cheese and the neighbors came over. He said she never makes good macaroni and cheese, just uses the little blue box. Ugh!!! I like the real thing.
We are watching the elections results. Obama is winning at the moment. Maybe if he gets in and spreads the wealth around I will be able to afford to eat something better than macaroni and cheese. We'll know by tomorrow.

The Snowbirds Are Back and They Brought All Their Friends

I worked today and it was completely crazy. It was the busist day they have ever had. Oh my gosh, Where do all those people come from? When I got home all I could do was collapse. We invitied the neighbors for dinner to finish the leftovers from the party on Friday night so at least I didn't have to cook.
After they left I worked on my digital scrapbooking as I have to put on a demostration for the class on Tuesday.
Even if the clock says it is only ten o'clock I am going to bed.

Spectacular Saturday

I tried to write in this blog on Thursday evening after we got home from the October Fest parade and I wrote but it only printed half of what I wrote and deleted the rest and I was too tired to do it over.
Yesterday I worked all day and then we had eleven people over for dinner and a dice game called Left, Right, Center. We all had a great time.
Today we kinda of slept in and then went over to visit our new neighbors. They are from Montana and he is a tennis instuctor. He should fit right in here. After that we met 35 other golf carts at the Hacienda Rec Center and joined in a golf cart poker run. We had to go to six different rec centers and pick up our cards and then we met at Little Bits Restaruant and had dinner. First prize was $50 dollars but we didn't win anything. By the time we got home I was tired and Bud's leg was hurting so we are staying home tonight and resting.
I sure hope my daughter-in-laws send me Halloween pictures. I really miss seeing the kids all dressed up. I really need the pictures as how can I scrap if I don't get any good pics.

October Fest

Today Bud went to therapy and took me to the store on the golf cart. Of course, I was at Aldi's yesterday but they didn't have what I needed. I am making cabbage rolls for a dinner party tomorrow night.

Cool Tuesday & Wednesday

It was pretty cool here in the Villages today. It was the coldest weather ever in October in 50 years. The high today was only 73. It got pretty cold in the middle of the night but who cares, I'm in bed sleeping. Florida people act like the world is coming to an end if they have to put on a sweatshirt.
However, I went with my Red Hat group to "Wild Bill's Air Boat Rides" this morning. The sun was shining but it was a little nippy out there in the swamp going about 35 miles an hour over the open water. It was fun but one girl's hat blew off and got caught in the motor. Wild Bill wasn't too happy about that. Then we went over to Sandy's house and she fixed a nice luncheon for us all.
This morning Pam A. and I went to the new Aldi's and the new Kohl's store here in the Villages. Aldi's doesn't do much for me, not enough variety but Kohl's was very nice. Tonight I made fresh salsa and then me and Bud went down to Pam's house and trimmed her scrubs as the garbage man comes tomorrow.
Tonight we kind of just vegged out, he has to be at therapy at 7 a.m.

Wacky Weekend and Marvy Monday

I started to write in this blog last night and my keyboard kept sticking so I called it a night and so I am going to finish this tonight. I know we did something on Saturday but I can't remember what. Oh now I remember we went to the movies to see "Alpolusa". It was a cowboy show. It wasn't too bad and I didn't fall asleep but I don't think I would recommend it unless you really like westerns. Then we went to eat at El Ranchitos. Now that was pretty tasty. It is so close to our house but we never seem to go there.
On Sunday I worked and we were swamped. The snowbirds are back!!!! In the evening Marguerite and Ray came to visit.
Today I worked like a dog. Too many customers and not enough help. So what else is new??? Tonight eight of us went to Katie Bell's at Spanish Springs. It is an old fashioned restaurant and dance hall only open to residents of the Villages. A couple named Donna Moore and Dunning Shaw put on a great show. They impersonate all the great acts, like Rod Stewart, Liza Minnelli, Elvis, Sonny and Cher, Janis Joplin, Elton John and lots more. They were absolutely wonderful. They put on two shows on Monday nights and they are sold out every show. I sure hope we can tickets when Pam and Dave get here. We all had excellent food and service was super. Then we went to Market night at the square and me and Bud each got new watches. Cheap but they work.
So right now I am tired and I am going to go relax and go to bed.

Bad Morning at the Kohn House

Bud woke up very early in lots of pain, couldn't lay down, couldn't sit down, couldn't stand. So I wanted to take him to hospital but he wanted just to go to doctor office so I called my boss at 5:30 a.m and told him I wouldn't be at work until I took care of Bud. We called the doctor when they opened and he said to come in at three. Bud's pain meds started to work so he told me to go to work so I went and they were in a real mess. It was raining and the Villages was having a state wide softball tournament so since they couldn't play they came to eat. Busy, Busy, Busy.
I told my boss I have to leave at 2:00 to take Bud to doctor so when we got there the doctor took x-rays of his back and said he was having muscle spasms and some inflammation. So we got more medicine and he told him to alternate heat and cold and go to the pool and hot tub.
This evening after the new meds took effect we went to the pool. It was simply beautiful there.
So now he is resting in his chair. I hope tonight is a better night.

Doctor Visit Today

Took Bud to the doctor today and he looked at his knee and said he must have therapy for one month, three times a week. Oh happy day. The doctor thinks he might have a pinched nerve in there also. So he is still hurting. I sure hope the therapy helps.
I took two out of three games in shuffleboard this afternoon. It was gorgeous out but very windy.
The neighbors came over for dinner tonight and we had cabbage rolls. They were awesome if I do say so myself.
Now I am going to spend the evening very quietly, reading and finishing up some computer work.
Tomorrow is a work day and it is suppose to rain and that means we will be very busy.

Wonderful Wednesday

Got up early today and made my cabbage rolls for our potluck tonight. I just got finished and the sink started leaking. So I had to clean up that mess and take Bud to Lowes to get the right parts. He was just starting to fix it when the neighbor guy came over and said "Let's go fishing." So off he went and fished from his chair. Then when he got home, he did fix it.
I did errands and went visiting.
This evening we attended the Ohio Buckeye Club. It is my favorite club of all the ones we belong to. We had a wonderful potluck and entertainment by the Lady Lake Elementary School. They were really cute.
Now it is time to rest. Taking Bud to doctor tomorrow morning.

Terriffic Tuesday

Got up really early today because Bud needed a pain pill and I don't like him to take them on an empty stomach. Then we fell asleep in our lazy boy chairs and I was almost late to my digital scrapbooking meeting.
The meeting was very informative and I met a real nice lady named Mary who is just starting out in digital. She joined Marguerite and me for lunch at the new hotel, Waterfront Inn. The restaurant is called Amelia's and it is a beautiful place. However, their food left something to be desired. I certainly won't rush back, beautiful decor doesn't really fill me up.
This afternoon I helped Marguerite with some templates in photoshop as much as I could. We had a lot of laughs as my computer ate some of my files or sent them to cyberspace or somewhere. I still can't find them.
When she left I went to Walmart to get some groceries for my cabbage rolls I am making for the potluck tomorrow night at the Ohio Club.
After dinner with went to the Michigan Club for our monthly meeting. We had an ice cream social, signed up for a nighttime golf outing and took line dancing lessons.
In the pictures Rod and Jane are in the front row and me and Pam are in the second row. We now know the Cuban Shuffle and Tiffany. We certainly need alot of practice but we had lots of laughs.
Well, it is time to take that shower and hit the sheets.

Wacky Weekend

On Friday I worked, very hard I might add. About nine o'clock our good friend Dallas Eberth from our motorhome club called and said he was in his motorhome and stopped at the Wal-Mart on 441 for the night. So we agreed to pick him up for breakfast and so we took him to Bob Evans for breakfast and then for a little tour of the villages. Then we met the Mancos for coffee at Panara Bread around 11:30 a.m.
After we took Dallas back to his motorhome I went shopping and got two new bathing suits. At 5 p.m we met our friends Pam, Rod, Jim and Jane and went to Spanish Springs for the Cruise-In. They must have has about 200 cars on display. Then we ate at Bourbon Street. On a scale of 1-10 our dinner was about a four. Don't thing we'll be going back there anytime soon. Then we went back to Pam and Rod's to see their new floor. Looks really great. By the time we got home around 11 p.m. I was tired. It was a short night as I had to get up by 5:30 a.m. to go to work.
Work was absolutely crazy. I was totally exhausted when I got home. I was so busy I didn't even see that Marguerite and Ray were in the building. Sunday night we kind of just chilled. I was too pooped to even write on this blog.
Today I worked and it was busy but not overwhelming like yesterday. The day went pretty fast. When I got home the neighbors were here and then Dominic came over to see I would go to Bingo with him and Gloria. So I went, it was a good time but Gloria is the only one at our table that won anything. Tomorrow starts my three days off of work in a row, so I have lots of things planned.
The weather here is beautiful.

Worked Way Too Hard Today

I am writing this even though I am too pooped to pop. We were so busy today and after about five hours my back started hurting. Then when I got home and tried to rest I got cramps in my legs. Bud is still limping around and I was walking around trying to get rid of my cramps and moaning. We make a great pair.
I cooked and we settled down to watch a movie I got for free at the library. It was called "Chuck & Larry". I am so glad I didn't pay to see it and I doubt very much if it will ever by on television (okay maybe on cable). It had some funny parts. I can just see my dad watching it.
One of our motorhome friends called and he is on his way down to his house in Florida in his motorhome and is parked at the Wal-Mart for the night near us. We are meeting him for breakfast in the morning.
Got a busy day planned for tomorrow.

A Beautiful Day in the Villages

Bud got up early, had to take a pain pill. He still hurts but it is getting better.
I went to water aerobics and then hurried home, changed clothes and went to play shuffleboard. I won two out of the three games I played. As a team we won 14 games out of 24.
When I got home we went with Dave, our neighbor to his favorite Chinese restaurant. It was pretty good. I especially liked the mushroom chicken.
Tonight I have been trying to do some scrapbooking using Photoshop. I really need a personal tutor. It is very frustrating.
Going to go take my shower, it is a work day for me tomorrow.

Fun In The Sun

I spent the afternoon at the Pimlico Pool with Pam and her daughter Cara who is visiting from Ohio. There was hardly anyone there so we almost had the whole pool to ourselves. It was wonderful. It was in the high eighties today.
When I got home Bud and I took the golf cart and went grocery shopping. I needed some potatoes and some bottled water and spent seventy-six dollars. I am glad I didn't need anything else. Then we went to the library and got some reading material for him.
This evening after dinner Rod, Pam and Cara came over for a visit. They just left and it is now time to watch the debates. You really don't need to watch it as they will run it all night and all day tomorrow.

New Air Conditioner is In

Went to water aerobics this morning. Bud was home all watching the guys put our new air conditioner in. He always watches them to make sure they do it right. It is suppose to be very energy efficient so I will know when we get our first electric bill.
We didn't do much the rest of the day, just caught up on housework and laundry. I sure miss Bud not being able to get around and do all the things he did for me. His leg is still swollen and quite sore.
It was beautiful here again today and tonight I went for a nice walk with the neighbors.

Two Busy Days

I worked Sunday and was so tired when I got home I didn't even write anything last night. The snowbirds are definitely coming back to Florida. We were extremely busy. Bud did okay and Dave came and checked on him during the day.
Today I worked again and we were packed most of the day. Bud's leg was swollen this morning so he is still sitting with ice wrapped around it.
We had our first show in our concert series tonight so I went alone with the neighbors down the street. First they had Rocky and the Rollers a band that is the number one rock and roll band here in the Villages. Next on was Jay Siegel and the Tokens from the sixties. They were wonderful. They sing the song "The Lion Sleeps Tonight" and they sound as good as did forty five years ago. When I go to things like these "Do-Wop" shows I always thing of my brother and how much he would have enjoyed living here. We could probably find this kind music here every night. He would have loved it here.
Guess I'll go take a shower and call it a night.

A Very Quiet Day

Bud spent an uneventful night and slept quite well. He has spent the rest of the day in his chair with his ice cap (his new best friend).
I went to water aerobics at Hacienda Pool. Everything is so beautiful here and that includes all the pools. The water was warm and the sun was hot.
The rest of the day I just did laundry and odds and ends. Bud had me so spoiled down here. He always did most of the laundry and housework. Boy, do I miss that.
I left my patient for a while and went to the Dollar Tree and picked up a few things. Now I think I will go for a short walk and call it a day.

Surgery is a Success

We were up an at the hospital at 5:45 a.m. this morning. Bud's surgery took about one hour and then he spent the rest of day with his leg wrapped with ice and in his lazy-boy.
I spent most of the day on the phone. I made Bud a nice dinner of ham, potatoes and Italian beans. During dinner I got one of my spells, a gas bubble that gets stuck in my chest. After I threw up I felt better but it really ruined my evening. It lasted about two hours and really makes you feel miserable.
Hopefully, tomorrow will be much better.

Boy, Did It Rain Today!!

I put another picture up from the parade. Then it deleted my other picture. Oh, what to do???

It was a beautiful day again and I did errands and then when to my shuffleboard league. We took 15 games out of 24 which is pretty good. We were playing just fine and then the sky started to get dark and then it started to rain. So we stopped the third game and started home. By the time we got home it was really raining. The news said 4-7 inches an hour. It rained for over an hour and then it stopped and the sun came out again.

Tonight we went to our Italian Club meeting. There were 362 people there and they had a band and a big dance floor. They served cannolis and coffee and had a drawing. I realize that I am Italian but I have never heard such rude people. They would not shut up long enough to even let the President talk. Can you imagine a room full of Italians, all drinking and talking, and moving their arms, all at the same time. One of the entertainers was telling jokes and we couldn't even hear them.

Well, we are home now and going to bed early. Bud has to be at the hospital at 5:45 am. So it will be a short night. I sure hope everything turns out okay.

Italian American Parade

Today I got my computer fixed. A guy came right to the house and fixed it so now I can get my email and also put on more memory.
This afternoon we met Pam and Rod to watch the Italian American Parade. This parade is put on by the our Italian American Club and they have a parade at both Spanish Springs and Lake Sumper at the same time. Then we went to Margaritaville and I had my favorite Nassau Nuggets or as we call them "grouper balls". They are so good!!!
Then we listened to the bands and watched them dance. I am trying to put some pictures on for all of you but I can't seem to make them smaller and to go where I want them. I will keep trying.
It was 91 degrees when we left for the parade on the golf cart and just as the parade was ending it rained a little.

Digital Scrapbooking Club Day

It's nice and warm here today. Went to my Digital Scrapbooking Club today. Marguerite picked me up and we had a nice chat on the way. She is happy that her son-in-law finally got a new job after having been unemployed for five months.
The club was very informative and after the meeting we went to Perkins for lunch.
When I got home the air conditioner man was here and we signed the papers so we will have the new one by Thursday or Friday.
My computer is not working right, I can send messages but I am not receiving any. Tomorrow I will have to call someone to fix it. I have to have my computer. I think I would rather have my computer than my air conditioner.
After dinner Bud and I went to Bealls on the golfcart and than took a long ride. We helped a man whose car had broken down. He didn't have a cell phone so he used mine to call AAA. While we were waiting with him the Village Watch truck and came to make sure he was okay. He was on his way to watch Rocky and the Rollers at Spanish Springs and his car just quit on him.
I met some new neighbors tonight. They are from Germany. The debates are on so I had better go and watch so I can be an informed voter.

Busy Monday

Went to work today and it was pretty busy. The girls I work with are good for my ego though. They all tell me they are glad that I am back. It is a very nice working environment.
It is hot today and very humid outside. It was hotter in the house than it was outside. We have one more estimate to get and hopefully we will get in done!!
Bud made beef stew in the crock pot for dinner and we have enough left for tomorrow night also. It was pretty good.
Marguerite, Pam and me went to Bunco tonight at Lake Miona. The room seats 104 people but there were some empty tables tonight. I wore my new shirt I got in Shipshiwiana, Indiana that says "What happens at Bunco, stays at Bunco." It got lots of complements but didn't help my game at all. I lost the first six games in row. Marguerite won ten dollars on a raffle ticket and also a DVD movie on the door prizes. Me and Pam didn't win a thing. Top prize tonight for the most games on $76 dollars and the most buncos won $58. They also pay $5 for boobie prize. I missed that by one game. I just can't get a break.
It sprinkled on the way home but it has stopped now.
I am taking a cool shower and going to bed.

First Sunday back on the Job

Went to work today, it was very busy. I mostly ran the register but the people never stopped coming. It was good to see some of my old customers.
After work we ate and then went to see how Rod was doing on his new floor. Bud was suppose to help him but since he can't bend down, Rod got his brother in-law to help. The floor looks great and they are doing a fine job.
My computer would not go the the Internet, I started and restarted it, plugged and unplugged it,said a few bad words but nothing helped so I finally called Comcast and they are coming in the morning so before we went to bed Bud tried it one more time and low and behold, it started. So I wasted a perfect night at home (nothing on TV) when I could have been working on my digital scrap booking. Oh well, I needed the rest.
It was cloudy here today but warm. Still no air conditioning. Does it seem like we are having trouble with electrical things. Got to work in the morning so I'll be signing off for today.

Saturday, October 4, 2008

Great day in the Villages

Went to water aerobics at Hacienda sports pool. Very nice program. Got home and the air conditioner was here for another estimate. Then we cleaned our car, it was so dirty from the long trip and all that construction.
Tonight we went out with Pam, Rod, Jim and Jane for a nice dinner outside at the Lighthouse in Sumpter Landing. Then we went to the Orange Blossom Opry and saw Lori Gill singing and impersonating Loretta Lynn. She did a wonderful job and it was well worth the eleven dollar tickets to get in.
It is almost bedtime so I am calling it a day.

Friday, October 3, 2008

First Day Back On The Job

I worked my first day at Bob Evans today. I saw all my old customers, worked with all the same girls as last year. It was really a pleasant day.
When I got home I made a meatloaf and we went to Margaurite and Ray's house for dinner. They were suppose to come here but without air conditioning I don't think they would have been too comfortable. We had a great dinner and then played Mexican Train. Bud's leg was hurting so we called it an evening early.
I told my boss that I was sorry but my husband was having surgery next Friday and I wouldn't be able to work, he said that's okay, we'll take care of it. They are really nice to me. I told the doctor that Friday didn't fit into my schedule and he said, "I only operate on Fridays, sorry". So what choice did I have.
It was lovely here again today, about 85 and sunshine. It makes me feel bad you people up north are having freeze warnings. Yeah, right.

It's a Beautiful Day in the Villages

You couldn't ask for a more perfect day than today. Just beautiful. We went to the doctors first thing this morning. Bud is scheduled for surgery a week from Friday. The doctor only does surgery on Fridays and he is all booked up for tomorrow. He operates one Friday here in the Villages and one in Leesburg so we will be going to Leesburg. Then he will have to have six weeks of physical therapy.
I played shuffleboard this afternoon and won one game out of three. Bud stayed to wait for the air conditioner repairman. Well, the air conditioner has died a slow lingering death. Now we have to get some estimates on a new one. Oh happy day!!!!
Went out for dinner at Steak & Shake. We went with the Mancos and Dave. They have excellent shakes and vegetable soup.
I am going to go take a cool shower, it is warm in here. Maybe I'll move down to my sister's house. She'll never know, she won't be here until November. That gives us plenty of time to get a new unit.

90 Degrees Again Today

It is just gorgeous here today, hot and sunny. We spent most of the morning unpacking and putting things away. We also made a great container of fresh salsa. It's really got a bite to it.
Our friends came this afternoon and we went to the Southside Pool which is the closest one to our house. It is a great pool with a nice hot tub. We spent three hours there and came home all red and wrinkled. We had a great time in the pool, everyone is friendly and we all talked and laughed.
Well, wouldn't you know it as soon as we get two nickels to rub together, something breaks. Now the air conditioner is not working. The repair man came out but it couldn't fix it because it was all froze up. He'll be back tomorrow and either he can fix it or we will have to get a new one. You can't survive down here without an air conditioner. I know these things happen to everyone but enough is enough. Our washing machine in Michigan took a dump and so we had to get a new washer and dryer.
We have an early appointment with the orthopedic doctor tomorrow and then I will suffleboard on our league at one o'clock. Bud will have to be content to keep score and cheer me on to victory.
Well, it is kind of warm in here so I am going to take a cool shower and call it a night.

The Florida Sun is Shining Bright

The internet is finally hooked up and now I can let you fine people what is going on.
We left Saturday morning and drove all the way to Tifton Georgia and stayed at my Aunt Pauline's house. She is a true southern lady and even though she is 90 years old she keeps a wonderful house and loves to have company. She fed us and and then she fed us again and again. Bud said if we keep eating like this they will have to roll us to Florida. My cousin Pat cooked for us too and it was wonderful. She came over and gave us a real nice tour of their town and farms.
We left there on Monday morning and got here about 1 p.m. John, our neighbor helped Bud unload the car. We saw most of our neighbors and now we are in the midst of unpacking and getting straighten up.
I went to Wal-Mart and loaded up with groceries. What a job!! I am used to Bud helping me and with his knee he can't so I guess the party is over for me. Ha Ha.
We got a recommendation about an orthopedic doctor and we have an appointment for Thursday morning.
I went to Bob Evans and checked on my job. The boss asked me what days did I want to work, I told him the same as last year and he said, Okay, works for me. They are so nice to me. He said business is been very good but the job market is terrible. He put an ad in for one dishwasher position and got one hundred applicants. A few years ago we couldn't fill any of the positions, no one wanted to work. How times change.
So I start Friday.
Our good friends, the Mancos were here today and helped us with our internet problem. We had the wrong cord. I don't know how that happened, Bud has hooked this up a hundred times. Oh, Well, Ray came to the rescue and for that I am grateful. Being without my computer is just awful.
We went down the street and checked on my sister's house. Everything looks okay. The owner left everything, even a nice set of golf clubs in the garage. I might just be using them.
It is raining out now and I have been running all day so I think I will call it a day and log off for tonight.

Torn Meniscus

We went to the orthopedic doctor and got the results of the MRI. It is a torn meniscus, a tendon behind the knee. They gave him a shot in the knee and told us we can see a doctor in Florida. It will most likely have to be repaired as he said it won't heal on its own.
We are packing the car today and tying up loose ends. Our plan is to leave in the morning. We will be going out to eat with Pam and Dave tonight and then the kids are coming over. It seems like we have a million things to do so I am going to make this short and I'll be back online probably by Monday or Tuesday.
Our cable will hooked up on the first of October. You can reach me on my cell phone if you want. We don't have a regular phone line in Florida.

Last day to work in Michigan

I worked for the last time today for this year in Michigan. I called Bob Evans in Florida and they said to come in when I get there. I sure hope Bud is able to drive.
I am still itching and he is still gimping along. We make quite a pair. He is definitely not used to not being able to move. Steve is getting our car ready for the trip, new brakes and tires. What would we do without our Steven. He is super good to us.
It was such a gorgeous day here I kind of hate to leave. There is not anything much better than a fall day in Michigan.
Grandma Kohn is finally home from the hospital so we will go to Toledo to see her and pick up my glasses. I sure hope they are okay this time. I miss not being able to see......
Our favorite TV shows start tonight so I am going to wrap this up and go relax.

One More Day To Work

Well, I only have one more day to work. Then the girls always take me to the Wilderness Bar and we have drinks and play rip-off tickets. I really like most of the girls I work with here. It is hard to believe that on the day after Thanksgiving it will be nine years that I have worked for Bob Evans. I can say one think about my job, it different every day and I sure have met a lot of people. Mostly nice ones, too.
Bud's leg still hurts and I am still itching a little. Bud's mom is still in the hospital, she is dehydrated but might be able to come home tomorrow.
I am trying to pack a few things and throw some things away. I have so much junk, you can not believe how much stuff I have. When I get home next spring I am having another garage sale and getting rid of this junk. It is driving me crazy.
Going to take a shower and watch TV for a while. The new shows are starting tonight.

What a crazy weekend

All we did was run this weekend. On Saturday we went and watched Dakota play soccer and then went to the bowling alley and watched the kids bowl and Dakota had a big cookie. He sure liked that.
Today, I worked and came home and fixed dinner for all my kids. We had some presents and some cupcakes for Matt and Dakota's birthday. My lasagna was took forever to bake, my oven doesn't heat up right. Robert said he had to be to work by five o'clock in the morning and we should hurry up and eat. We have enough left over for dinner tomorrow night, yeah....
My sister calls me and Bud, gimp and itch. I am still scratching and he is still gimping along. It doesn't seem to be getting any better.
Only two more days to work here in Michigan. I can't wait to get to Florida. I miss my kids but maybe this year they will come and visit us. That would make me very happy. They should come while the kids are little and can really enjoy it.

Went to the Doctors-AGAIN

I took Bud for a MRI today in Toledo. We will get the results next Thursday-there is never a rush with the medical profession. It took all morning and then we went and picked up my glasses. Of course, they said they could put the new lenses in while we waited but when we got there they said "Oh No" We have to send these out and they won't be ready until Tuesday. I am not a happy camper today.
Then we went to the family doctor for my poison ivy. He said, "You don't feel too good, do you" That's right Sherlock, I have been scratching for a week and not sleeping, what do you think?. He gave me medicine and a shot and told me not to scratch.
Bud's doctor gave him Ocycotten, that is some strong stuff so I think I'll take one of those and we just sit here zoned out of our minds and forget the pain and suffering. Ha Ha.
Bud's mom was suppose to come today from the hospital but didn't because she is dehydrated. Maybe tomorrow..
Well, I am off to my chair and another wonderful evening of "Law and Order".

Going to the doctors-AGAIN

September 18, 2008
I took Bud to a Orthopedic doctor today in Toledo and they THINK he might have torn a tendon. So off to the clinic in the morning for an MRI.
I think I might have to break down and go the doctor for this poison ivy. It is driving me crazy. I could not even sleep.
So both of us are just sitting here when we have so much to do to get ready to leave for Florida.
Oh well, what will be will be. I sure hope he will be able to drive or we might not be going.
My new glasses are in so tomorrow we will stop and pick those up. I guess that is what older people do for entertainment-go to the doctors everyday.
I went out with Pam, Anna and Evelyn last night for dinner. I picked the restaurant and boy did I flub up. It is just a little place but there are always so many cars there I figured it must be good. It was pitch black in there and the waitress was in la-la land somewhere and we weren't five feet from where she stood most of the evening and we couldn't get her attention. Maybe my tip got her attention!!!! It was so cold in there I couldn't stand it. The food was just okay. Guess I'll cross that one off my list...
Well, I am off to the shower. Evelyn brought me over a hillbilly remedy for poison ivy, lye soap so we will see what that will do. She also brought Bud some crutches. That Evelyn is a good girl.

Poison Ivy

Sept.16, 2008
Well, summer is almost over and I now have my annual case of poison ivy. I don't know exactly how I get it but it is driving me crazy. I itch all over.
Bud is sitting in his chair with his heating pad on his sore leg. On Thursday we go to the Orthopedic doctor and maybe have a MRI done. This has been extremely painful for him. And he certainly is not used to just sitting in his chair all day.
I am going to try and keep this blog up daily so if you are interested in the ramblings of the Kohn family check this out.
