Whoever said that retirement was boring should follow me around for awhile. OMG, it is always something.
This week I worked on Monday, so busy.
Bud golfed at El Santiage on Wednesday and at Silver Lake on Friday.
We have kept Lowe's afloat again by paying off what we owed them and getting ready to order new carpeting, hopefully on Tuesday.
Our bathroom and bedroom look marvelous.
The JUGS went to Katie Belle's on Wednesday night for "I Love This Bar" night. Anna had a little too much to drink and she sure made the evening. What a character.
The guys went to the Old Tyme War Movie show.
On Thursday we shuffleboarded and I played three games and won two. Bud won two and we took 15 out of 24 as a team.
Friday I worked. We finally hooked our WII up to the computer and now have Netflix. They sure have lots of movies to choose from. It was like the blind leading the blind but we did it.
Saturday we golfed with the neighborhood at Briarwood and we did fine for the first five holes and then we fell apart. Oh, well we can't win them all. We went to McCall's Tavern for lunch and then we just stayed home and I made a pumpkin cake. Boy, it was good..
Oh, George Bush was here in the Villages today. He golfed at Arnold Palmers and then had a book signing. George Micheal Montgomery was having a free concert and there were tons of people there. A good time was held by all.
Today I worked and it was super busy. Bud and some of our friends came in for an early breakfast and they they went to the golf cart parade to participate in the parade for the wounded soldiers and to set another parade record. We don't know how they did but the record was 3,240 and some say there were at least 4,800 golf carts. We'll probably find out tomorrow in the paper.
