Now that we are back in Florida we are trying to get back to the swing of things here in this wonderful place. We have been greeted by all of our neighbors and we barely got out of the car and they were here asking us to play golf on Saturday.
I spent the day going shopping and running errands with Anna and in the evening we had seven friends over for an impromtu dinner, just hamburgs and soup, and such. We had a great time.
Today Bud worked in the yard and I went to Bed Bath and Beyond and to Sam's Club. We are now stocked up on meat for quite a while. We had leftovers for dinner and are now just relaxing and I am going to go get ready to go to work tomorrow. I hope my feet don't bother me. I brought someting from Michigan with me, poisen ivy. Somehow I got a good dose and for the life of me I don't know how. I have it down my front, back, butt and hips. Sure hope it doesn't start itching tomorrow.
I went to Katie Belle's and got tickets for the talent show, kind of like a Villagers' American Idol. That should be fun, it is the finals..
The ramblings of Judy and her family. I am trying to stay in touch with all of my family and friends.

Busy Week
We spent the week packing and doing all the little things that needed to be done. On Thursday I went to Bingo with Pam and I won $35. That was a good thing.
On Friday we had Matt over for his birthday and Dakota and Matt spent the night. Jen and Rob went to a Tiger baseball game. The boys played video games all evening, so they really enjoyed that. On Saturday we went to Dakota's soccer game, he certainly has improved since last year. But boy it was cold out. In the evening we went to Jason's and Jessica's house for a "Minute to Win It Party". What a great idea for a party. We had to leave early but I heard they had a ball. I am going to try that here this year.
We left the party early because we had to get up at 3 a.m. to leave for Florida. We made good time and didn't have any trouble until we got past Atlanta and all of a sudden traffic just stopped. We never saw an accident, orange barrel or anything and just sat bumper to bumper for over an hour.
So we were a little late getting to my Aunt Pauline's but she had a little dinner for us and then we crashed. The next morning she fed us a good old southern breakfast and then we headed for Florida. And then it started raining, so hard we couldn't see. We took it slow and saw several accidents but we made it.
My boss from Bob Evans called while we were driving in the rain and asked if I could start work on Friday. Oh, my only three days and my vacation is over...
We unloaded the car, neighbors stopped by and then we crashed again for the evening.
This morning we went to our very favorite store first thing. Lowe's always has something we need. Bud hooked up my computer and tried to hook up the TV with Comcast but so far that isn't working so well. Maybe tomorrow will be better.
Bill and Anna asked us to go to dinner so we went to The Hacienda Country Club for their half priced meals. Well, they didn't have enough help and the place was packed so we left and went to Crisper's and had some really good soup. That's all we needed anyway. So now we are just resting and planning the rest of the week. The neighbor guy stopped to see if he should put us in for golf on Saturday but I am going to lunch and a play in Ocala with the Red Hats. Bud might golf if they need a single. The activities never stop and I am loving it.....

Busy Monday and Tuesday
We spent Monday waiting for the guys that put in our new windows to come and adjust them so they worked properly. Then I went to town to change our address and to Deerfield to get some Honey Crisp Apples. They are by far the best apples I have ever had. The orchard owner said they are smaller this year, it was too hot.
Today we went to Wal-Mart to do some errands and then we for an early dinner at the Olive Garden with the in-laws and Diane and Melvin. We wanted to see them before we left. The Chicken Carbonara was the best, way too much for one meal so I am having a lovely lunch tomorrow.
It was beautiful out today, very warm, 90 degrees. The last day of summer in Michigan.

Great Weekend
Saturday was spent with my Red Hat group. We had game day way out on the east side of Toledo. They really went out and decorated the hall perfectly. They had so much food we couldn't eat it all. We played a sponge game, Left,Right,Center and Bunco. We had lots of laughs,it is a really nice bunch of women.
Today we worked on getting things ready around here. I spent a few hours working with my printer, putting in all new ink and now I have a line through my prints. What to do now??? I made Robert and Dakota a birthday card and we went over there tonight for cake and ice cream. Dakota got a new bike and Robert got beer and lottery cards.Dakota got his own hula hoop and he is excellent at it. He barely moves and it just keeps going and going. I tried and it fell to the floor.
Baby Aaron was there too. He is getting cuter everyday and really a very good natured baby. Can you believe he is crawling all ready?

Lazy Days of Summer
I didn't write yesterday as I really didn't do too much so didn't have to say. I went to Pam's and we got Dakota's birthday present and a little gift for the Red Hats on Saturday. I will sure miss running with Pam this winter, maybe I'll just put her in my suitcase and take her with me.
Today I did laundry and then Jan called and we went to lunch in Toledo at Ventura's. I wasn't planning on going anywhere but she said let's go and I was in the car.
Tonight we just watched TV, took a nice bath and played on this computer. This morning I couldn't get my mouse to work. That is so frustrating but I called the computer guy up town and he told me (or should I say Bud) what to do. That didn't really work so Bud played around with the mouse and it had a loose wire. Thank God, he likes to fix things. So now it is up and running. I go into withdrawal just thinking about not having my computer.
We have been watching the new shows like Oprah and America's Got Talent. I will surely miss Oprah when she goes off the air. Her first show was a real tear-jerker. The little girl on America's Got Talent took second place but she was amazing. I am sure she will make a fortune. She is only ten so she has lots of years to succeed.

Another Nice Day
Spent the day cleaning and doing laundry. It was simply gorgeous today. My kind of day. Bud stayed out in the barn all day, doing I don't have a clue what...
We just had left overs for dinner and this evening I have been trying to make a Smilebox for my friends. Sometimes it doesn't do what I want it too. Oh, well, that life...

A Beautiful Summer Day In Michigan
It was gorgeous here today. Just right.
I spent the day at home mostly, cooking and cleaning up. I tried a new recipe for Apple Strudel using zucchini instead of apples.Of course nothing is ever easy for me. I thought I had nugmeg and when I looked it was cream of tarter so I had to go to town. When I got home I started putting it together, started measuring out the flour and oh,no there were little bugs in it. So I had to run to town again. It is two miles to a little carry-out (our only grocery store in BFE) so I had to pay through the nose for some flour. After all of that it turned out pretty good.
Steve went to the Park & Shine at GM Hydramatic in Toledo. He said they had about 2000 classic cars attending.
We took some strudel into Toledo to the in-laws. Now tonight I have been on the computer and Bud is watching TV.
A very relaxing day here in beautiful Michigan.

Where Did The Summer Go?
I am so sorry I haven't written anything for so long. It is just when we left Florida to go home to Michigan we were only home for two weeks and we went back to Florida for six more weeks. I didn't have my computer with me as we were traveling light so I got way behind in my posts and then when we did get home it seemed like we were so busy.
But I am going to try and start writing again. I even like to go back and read what I wrote. I can re-live all my memories and never have to leave my computer.
The first thing we did was to finally get to see our new Great-Grandson, Aaron. He is a cutie pie and they call him Little Man. Well, Little Man will steal your heart..
We took two long motorhome trips with our club. We spent a few days at Don and Twyla's with some of our other friends and had a great time. We spent at few days at Sandy's cottage in Houghton Lake. Pam and Rod from The Villages came and spent some time here.Pat and Gary came from Holly Michigan we spent the day at the golf course and had dinner out. I have spent lots of time with Pam and we have been all over Toledo. One of the highlights was our trip to one of our Red Hatters mansion on the Maumee River. One of the biggest houses I was ever in. That was one fun day...
We took the grandsons to the movie "Toy Story" and one night we took them to Putt-Putt. Bud has been golfing with Rob and to car shows with Steve and Scott.
I have been trying new recipes and eating lots of wonderful corn and tomatoes. Oh, they are so good here in Michigan.
Also when you have two houses there is always repairs to be done. We had four new windows put in our family room. Now you can actually see out of the windows. Bud had to fix my Jeep after our accident on the way home from Florida. We took the money and he did the work.
The worst thing to happen was the lost of my son's father-in-law. It sure hit the family hard but I sure hope he knew how many friends and family he actually had. It was the biggest funeral I have ever attended.
I have to add this, I went to Bingo and won $60.00 and Linda won $100. That doesn't happen very often..
It has been very hot here this summer with very little rain.
Today Pam and I met with my sister-in-law and had a nice lunch and then watched a video. I sure wanted to see her before I left.
Well it is getting late and I didn't sleep too good last night. So I am signing off for tonight.
